Conference: Enforcing Children- Enforcing Single Parents in Europe

berlin The Foundation of Monoparental Families “Isadora Duncan” will take part in the conference on childhood and monoparental families, being organised by the VAMV in Berlin in June 8-10.
Induced by Germany’s EU presidency, and to celebrate the foundation of the VAMV 40 years ago, the VAMV, the major German single parent organisation “Verband Alleinerziehender Mütter und Väter”, is organising a conference whose aim is the discussion of children’s participation and the promotion of a European Network of Single Parents organisations and associations (ENoS) from June 8 to 10 2007.
Three fundamental participation fields to discuss are education, divorce and separation and basic financial security. We will not only discuss the construction of childhood and the social power of innocence and analyse child’s wishes and needs but we will also comment on the experiences of some countries in these fields. We will propose the foundation of the European Network of Single Parents (ENoS), whose main objective is the defence of monoparental  families ‘rights in Europe.
