Meeting with the Secretary of State of the Social Security

By request of this Foundation, the Secretary of State of the Social Security, last April 17th were we received by Mr Octavio Granado Martínez to deal with diverse topics that affect our group: Among other topics we brought up questions such as the situation of the Social Security special regime of servants or the lack of coordination among the system of social protection for workers and others foreseen for situations of poverty managed by the Autonomous Communities. Besides, we also dealt with other topics treated each other as the processing of the revaluation of the benefits per child in charge, being nowadays processed by the Secretariat of State. We also spoke about the Organic Law 3/2007, on March 22, for the effective Equality of Women and Men in which innovations in labour matters and in the Social Security which affect directly working mothers, such as the maternal benefits are included.
We also spoke about the Law of Promotion of the Personal Autonomy to the People in Situation of Dependence, which affects us as women looking after dependent people, who want to hire people offering these services in the general regime.
Finally, we would like o remark that Mr Octavio Granado pointed out that the most wished for this society is full employment, id est, that all every person get a job, independently from his/her added problematic ones and from services available.
