Film Forum for Immigrant Women at the Isadora Duncan Foundation

From the Isadora Duncan Single-Parent Family Foundation (FFM Isadora Duncan) comes a film forum aimed at immigrant women, featuring the documentary “Invisible Violence”. This documentary addresses gender violence against women, one of the clearest manifestations of inequality between men and women where men exert power over women simply because they are women. There are various types of gender violence, some more visible and others more subtle, such as psychological violence.

Gender violence against migrant women manifests in multiple ways throughout all stages of the migration process. Therefore, this activity aims to create a space for debate and reflection on a complex topic such as gender violence, specifically psychological violence. The main goal is to generate tools to make it visible, detect it, prevent it, and fight against it.

When and where will the activity take place?

The film forum will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in the morning from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the headquarters of the Isadora Duncan Single-Parent Family Foundation.

How to sign up?

You can sign up for the activity in various ways:

This activity is part of the program “Comprehensive Support Point for Immigrant Women” and is subsidized by the General Directorate of Humanitarian Assistance and Social Inclusion of Immigration and the European Social Fund, making it free of charge.

As with all foundation activities, a family reconciliation service is offered so that all women with dependent children who wish to participate can do so. We have an experienced and knowledgeable person in childcare who will take care of the children during the entire activity.

Share so that other women can benefit!
