Workshop ‘Labor Rights and Social Resources’ at Isadora Duncan

Cartel Derechos Laborales y recursos socialesNext Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the Isadora Duncan Foundation will host a workshop titled Labor Rights and Social Resources, aimed at immigrant women.

Everyone should be aware of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, workers, or future employees engaged in labor relations. This knowledge is essential for claiming their rights and avoiding non-compliance with their duties or responsibilities.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Rights and responsibilities of workers.
  • Employment contracts: types and characteristics.
  • Payslips and salary components.
  • Types of work schedules.
  • Leave, vacations, and public holidays.
  • Types of dismissal and procedures.
  • Workers’ Statute and collective agreements.
  • Social resources for job searching.

Additionally, time will be allocated for participants to ask questions, clarify doubts, and share concerns that may arise during the session.

This activity is part of the program Punto de apoyo integral a mujeres inmigrantes and is funded by the Dirección General de Atención Humanitaria e Inclusión Social de la Inmigración and the European Social Fund. Therefore, it is free of charge.

As with all the foundation’s activities, we offer family support services to enable women with children to attend. An experienced childcare provider will take care of the children during the workshop.
