Isadora Duncan Foundation for Single-Parent Families is organizing, in collaboration with Loco Matrifoco and with the participation of Amamantar Asturias and Muyeres Pachamama, the workshop ‘Obstetric Violence and Migrant Women’. This workshop will be held in person, in the city of Oviedo, and will address obstetric violence from the perspective of migrant women, the healthcare system, how to navigate it, and some resources and support networks to foster respectful maternity care for migrant women.
Isadora Duncan Foundation, in its ongoing fight against gender violence, organized a workshop in September 2024 on preventing obstetric violence, aimed at immigrant women. This workshop discussed this type of violence, the most common practices, and the physical and psychological consequences for women and their babies. After the positive response it received, we decided to offer it again, this time in Asturias, with the title “Obstetric Violence and Migrant Women”.

Friday, November 22, from 10:00 to 13:30 at the Otero Social Center, Otero Street No. 4, Oviedo, Asturias.
